Chef Pomodoro Roots

Chef Pomodoro was born from a love of making artisan pizza at home, with a mission to provide high-quality pizza-making tools at accessible prices. The brand quickly gained traction in this space and soon set its sights on expanding beyond pizza-related products into general kitchenware. To support this growth and strengthen its presence in an increasingly competitive market, a rebrand was essential to ensure the brand remained relevant, cohesive, and poised for continued success.

Looking to the Future

As Chef Pomodoro evolved, its branding struggled to keep up. The original identity was inconsistent, outdated and didn’t showcase products in the best light. With an expanding product range and increasing competition, the brand needed an impactful, cohesive identity. Leading the rebrand from a creative direction standpoint, I focused on elevating design, enhancing photography, and ensuring visual consistency at every touchpoint – transforming Chef Pomodoro into a premium, recognisable brand.

Rebrand Strategy & Objectives

Chef Pomodoro’s rebrand was driven by the need to modernise its image, making it more premium, cohesive and visually compelling whilst preserving the brands reputation for high-quality products. The goal was to establish a brand identity that conveys quality, trustworthiness and longevity – one that feels both elevated and approachable. The branding also needed to be versatile enough to seamlessly represent not just pizza-making tools but an expanding range of general kitchenware.

Visual Identity & Design Evolution

In reimagining Chef Pomodoro’s visual identity, we retained the original logo and the signature Chef Pomodoro red to maintain brand recognition and build on its existing equity. With these key elements as a starting point, we developed a bold and cohesive visual language that resonates with both existing and new customers. The updated design reflects the brand’s premium quality while maintaining a sense of approachability. We created an identity that stands out in the competitive kitchenware market, ensuring lasting appeal and continued growth.

Elevating the Brand at Every Touchpoint

A well-defined brand style guide was essential in ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Working with a branding designer, we developed a cohesive visual framework that informed the rollout of packaging, digital assets, video and photography. This guide establishes clear design principles, maintaining Chef Pomodoro’s premium aesthetic while allowing flexibility for future brand growth and expansion.

Packaging

For Chef Pomodoro’s packaging refresh, the aim was to ensure it felt premium, elevated and giftable. A key visual element, the scalloped edge, was incorporated on the front of the box to create strong brand recognition. One challenge we faced was the lack of ready-to-use product photography in time for packaging production. Instead of seeing this as a limitation, I turned it into an opportunity – developing hand-drawn product illustrations that not only solved the issue but also reinforced the brand’s artisan feel.

Photography

I led the creative direction for Chef Pomodoro’s photography, focusing on a genuine, elevated style that brings the products to life. Thoughtfully styled environments, with natural surfaces like wood, marble and slate enhancing the premium feel. Every shot was designed to highlight the quality, craftsmanship and key features of each product, ensuring they are presented in the best light – both literally and figuratively.

We collaborated with a talented photographer who truly understood the vision for the brand and brought it to life with care and precision. Their ability to capture the warmth, quality and authenticity of Chef Pomodoro’s products elevated the visual storytelling. Together, we created a library of imagery that feels premium yet approachable – perfectly aligned with the brand’s identity and core values.

Digital Assets

Chef Pomodoro’s digital assets maintain a consistent visual language, combining impactful imagery with clear, informative graphics. This approach highlights product features and benefits, making it easier for customers to make confident purchasing decisions.

Video

Brand videos were designed to engage customers and highlight key product features and benefits whilst maintaining the brand’s strong visual identity. These high-quality, informative videos significantly boosted conversion rates and reinforced brand recognition.

The Impact of the Rebrand

Brand Growth & Market Expansion

Following the rebrand, Chef Pomodoro successfully transitioned from a niche pizza product brand to a category leader in kitchenware, expanding its product line to include high-quality, stylish items. Chef Pomodoro now competes with industry giants like Ooni, establishing a presence in multiple markets and languages, and gaining recognition in the global kitchenware space.

Customer Impact

& Bestseller Success

The rebrand directly contributed to Chef Pomodoro becoming a customer favourite, with multiple products earning Amazon´s Picks and reaching bestseller status. The visual branding resonated with customers, elevating the overall customer experience and fostering loyalty. The brand’s distinctive design and quality offerings have driven impressive sales growth and positioned Chef Pomodoro for sustained success in an increasingly competitive market.

Brand Recognition & Equity

The new visual identity played a pivotal role in this transformation. By introducing  a modern, impactful visual language that is consistent across all touchpoints, Chef Pomodoro became instantly recognisable to consumers. This not only strengthened the brand’s market position but also built lasting brand equity and has paved the way for continued growth.
